General Therapy
What is Therapy?

Therapy is a powerful tool that can help individuals, couples, small groups, and families work through a range of issues that are holding them back in life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply feel stuck and uncertain about your future, therapy can provide you with the support and guidance you need to overcome these challenges and move forward with confidence.
What are the benefits of therapy?

Therapy provides a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. It can also help you develop new coping strategies and problem-solving skills, improve your communication and relationship skills, and increase your self-awareness and self-confidence.

Most importantly, therapy can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns of behavior, allowing you to break free from negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs that may be holding you back from living the life you were meant to.
How does it work?

Therapy involves meeting with me on a regular basis, either in person or virtually. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. Our sessions can involve individuals, groups, or both at different times. It is completely custom to your needs and we will work together to come up with an effective plan.

We will work together to develop personalized goals and strategies for overcoming the challenges you're facing. Depending on your needs, therapy may involve a range of techniques, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Talk Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches such as EFT Tapping and EDMR Therapy.
What results can you expect?

The results of therapy can vary depending on your unique needs and circumstances, but many people find that therapy helps them feel more empowered and confident in their ability to navigate life's challenges. By working with a therapist to develop new skills and strategies, you may find that you're better able to manage stress, improve your relationships, and achieve your personal and professional goals.

Ultimately, therapy can be a transformative experience that helps you overcome limiting beliefs and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. So if you're struggling with uncertainty, self-doubt, or other challenges, consider giving therapy a try and see how it can help you thrive.
DBT Therapy
What is DBT Therapy?

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that was developed to help people who struggle with intense and difficult-to-manage emotions. DBT Therapy is designed to help individuals learn new coping skills and strategies to manage their emotions, improve their relationships, and achieve greater overall well-being.
What are the benefits of DBT Therapy?

DBT Therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions, including borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, and more. Some of the benefits of DBT Therapy include:

-
Improved emotional regulation skills
-
Improved interpersonal skills and communication
-
Reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety
-
Reduced risk of self-harm or suicidal behavior
-
Increased overall sense of well-being
How does it work?

DBT Therapy typically involves both individual therapy sessions and group skills training sessions. During individual therapy, you will work with a trained therapist to identify and address problematic behaviors and emotions and develop new skills and strategies to manage them.
In group skills training, you will learn new skills and techniques to help you better manage your emotions and improve your relationships with others.
What results can you expect?

DBT Therapy is a highly effective treatment for individuals who struggle with intense and difficult-to-manage emotions. While everyone's experience with DBT Therapy is different, many people report significant improvement in their symptoms after completing a full course of treatment.
Over time, you may notice that you are better able to manage your emotions, communicate more effectively with others, and achieve greater overall well-being.
EDMR Therapy
What is EDMR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that was developed to help people who have experienced trauma. Trauma can affect us in many ways, and sometimes it can be difficult to overcome on our own. EMDR Therapy is designed to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences so that you can move forward and live a happier, healthier life.
What are the benefits of EDMR Therapy?

EMDR Therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, and more.
Some of the benefits of EMDR Therapy include:

-
Reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression
-
Reducing the intensity of traumatic memories
-
Improving overall mood and sense of well-being
-
Helping to improve sleep quality
-
Increasing the ability to cope with stress and difficult emotions
How does it work?

During an EMDR Therapy session, you will work with a trained therapist to identify and process traumatic memories or experiences. This is typically done through a series of eye movements, although other types of bilateral stimulation (such as tapping) can also be used.
The eye movements are thought to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories in a more adaptive way, allowing you to heal and move forward.
What results can you expect?

Everyone's experience with EMDR Therapy is different, but many people report feeling significant improvement in their symptoms after just a few sessions. Over time, you may notice that you are able to cope with difficult emotions more effectively and that your overall sense of well-being improves. EMDR Therapy can be a powerful tool for healing from trauma and improving your mental health.
EFT Tapping
What is EFT Tapping?

Tapping, or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a revolutionary modality that combines psychotherapy and acupressure. Various points on the face and body that align with certain meridians are stimulated, such as during acupuncture (but without the needles!), to relieve stress and anxiety. As you can use EFT anytime, anywhere, and on yourself, it is a powerful technique for stress reduction, and its effectiveness is based on extensive research.
What are the benefits of EFT Tapping?

EFT Tapping has been shown to be an effective treatment for a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and more. Some of the benefits of EFT Tapping include:

-
Reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression
-
Improving overall mood and sense of well-being
-
Reducing physical pain and tension
-
Reducing cravings for addictive substances or behaviors
-
Improving sleep quality
How does it work?

EFT helps to alleviate stress and anxiety by stimulating pressure points on the face and body. It can address a range of issues and the tapper simply focuses on the issue at hand by starting with an acceptance statement and then completing a two-finger tapping technique on certain points in a certain order.

The stimulation of the pressure points results in a calming effect on the amygdala, which is the part of the brain responsible for our stress response (i.e., “fight vs. flight”), as well as on the hippocampus, which is the brain’s memory center. These centers work in conjunction to determine whether or not we feel threatened, either by external or internal circumstances, so tapping works to reduce that sense of threat. EFT also appears to lower the stress hormone cortisol in the body.
What results can you expect?

EFT can have positive life-changing effects for those who use it. It certainly did for me, and I achieved results I had never had with counseling alone. I overcame obstacles that had plagued me for years, manifested goals, stabilized my weight, changed countries and careers, and made more progress in a matter of months than I had in years. Tapping is now part of my extensive toolbox and I pull it out on a regular basis for myself and my clients.
Studies have shown that tapping can help with:
-
PTSD
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Phobias
-
Chronic pain
-
Fatigue
-
Weight management
-
Cessation of smoking
Truly life-changing! I loved working with Christine! In a relatively short amount of time, I was able to make lasting positive changes with things that had been troubling me all my life.
